New Technical Assistance Resource Launched: Renewable Energy Explorer

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory, with support from the U.S. Agency for International Development, has recently launched the Renewable Energy (RE) Explorer.

RE Explorer provides data, decision-support tools, and training to renewable energy project developers, policymakers, and decision makers in developing countries. The RE Explorer’s flagship geospatial analysis tool, the RE Data Explorer, provides free-of-charge access to high-quality data and sophisticated geospatial analysis tools. Taken together, these online tools and resources enable evidence-based decision making to support cost-effective renewable energy planning and development. The RE Data Explorer is currently available for nine countries in Asia and Central Asia, and two countries in Africa.
